The Recreation Therapist assesses, plans, and implements therapeutic programs to improve the social and leisure functions of patients transitioning from hospital to home. They collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide patient-centered care and maintain clinical records in accordance with professional standards. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy and have at least one year of experience in Therapeutic Recreation. Additionally, eligibility for membership with the BC Therapeutic Recreation Association and a valid Foodsafe Course Level 1 certification are required.
