Join our amazing team! We are hiring immediately for multiple Product Testers to help power our busiest season! As a Product Tester, you'll play a key role in assessing, validating, and processing consumer electronics within our fast-paced Geek Squad City environment, where technology expertise meets warehouse operations. You'll thoroughly test devices to determine functionality, accurately process units through the appropriate workflow, and help prepare products for their next stage, including refurbishment or resale when applicable. Availability Requirements Monday to Saturday (Saturday and Monday availability is required) 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM 6- month contract (potential for contract extension or permanent positions beyond end of contract date) You must be available to work a minimum of 32 hours per week until the end of your contract What You'll Do as a Product Tester Product Testing & Device Processing Conduct functional testing on returned, refurbished, and pre-owned electronics to determine whether products are operational, defective, or require further inspection or repair. Assist with troubleshooting and evaluate a variety of consumer electronics, including smartphones, vacuums, gaming products, wearable technology, and related accessories. Process and accurately disposition devices through the appropriate workflow. Perform data wiping and factory resets while ensuring customer information is securely removed. Clean and prepare devices for refurbishment, resale, recycling, or repair as required. Support additional technical service activities and special projects as assigned. Quality Assurance Verify product quality and ensure units meet operational standards. Maintain compliance with privacy and data security requirements Accurately document testing outcomes and system updates. Operational Support Safely assemble pallets, sort, put away and pick products (yes-you’ll stay active! This requires lifting up to 50 lbs and repetitive bending and twisting). Maintain organized work areas while following established operational procedures Utilize internal systems to accurately track workflows, test results, and inventory movement (knowledge of excel is an asset). What We're Looking For Minimum 6 months of experience testing, troubleshooting, or repairing consumer electronics in a service centre, repair depot, refurbishment facility, or similar technical environment. Experience with hardware testing of mobile devices, laptops, computers, or other consumer technology is considered an asset. Knowledge of privacy and data protection requirements. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality standards while performing repetitive tasks. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to consistently lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs. Education Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.
