Salary Details The salary range for this position is CAD $45.15/Hr. - CAD $56.17/Hr. Job Summary Come work as a Physiotherapist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as part of the Home Health Rehabilitation team working out of West Vancouver Community Care and Central Community Health Centre in North Vancouver. Within the context of a client and family-centred care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice, and the vision and values of Vancouver Coastal Health, North Shore/Coast Garibaldi Service Delivery area, this position provides physical therapy services to clients in the community to achieve quality client focused care. Duties include identifying and assessing client’s performance issues utilizing an evidence-based approach, planning and implementing goal directed services, evaluating the effectiveness of the service, preparing and maintaining records. Contributes to the organization and delivery of physiotherapy services, and participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education. About Home Health Programs As a Home Health Physiotherapist in North Vancouver, you will support a diverse population of adult and older adult clients who have acute episodic or chronic conditions with musculo-skeletal, cardio-respiratory, neurological and/or other needs, including palliative or rehabilitative health care needs. Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy plus two (2) years' recent related experience and or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current full registration as a Physiotherapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC). KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES Basic knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to designated clinical area. Broad knowledge of physical therapy standardized tests and measures. Broad knowledge of physical therapy theory and practice within a client and family centred model of care. Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care. Demonstrated ability to function as a team member. Demonstrated ability to teach and empower clients to assume control over their health. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients both one-on-one and in groups. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others. Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation. Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others in a complex health care environment. Demonstrated ability to recognize when referral to another health care professional is required. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position. Skilled in the use of equipment, and in the techniques appropriate for physical therapy treatment. Basic computer literacy. Closing Statement The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical Therapy, at least two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, and current full registration with CHCPBC. Applicants must be eligible for PABC membership and demonstrate clinical knowledge, communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to provide effective client-centred care.
