The Role: Cleaning Crew - Work Experience Program The Work Experience Program provides youth with valuable work experience. The Cleaning Crew will report to the Trellis Employment Work Experience Lead and work under the direct supervisor of the Cleaning Crew Supervisor, caring for the cleanliness, organization, and sanitization of the Trellis Renfrew building. Duration: 3-Month contract starting September 8th, 2026 to December 8th, 2026 Required Availability: 5:30pm-8:30pm; 2 shifts per week - Mondays & Thursdays OR Tuesdays & Fridays (Weekly) Key Responsibilities * 1. Collaboration with a team to complete cleaning and sanitizing tasks including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and garbage disposal. 2. Clean and sanitize assigned areas and high touch surfaces. 3. Communicate with the Trellis Employment staff on site and team members about the tasks that are completed. 4. Wear Personal Protective Equipment and follow health and safety guidelines. 5. Adhere to all Trellis policies and standards. 6. Other related duties as required by Trellis staff or Cleaning Crew Supervisor. Knowledge and Skill Expectations * 1. You are 15 years old or older. 2. You have a valid Social Insurance Number. 3. You are available weekly from 5:30pm-8:30pm on Mondays and Thursdays OR Tuesdays and Fridays and will attend all shifts reliably. 4. Willing to learn new employment skills such as: 1. Working in a team. 2. Communicating with a supervisor. 3. Being accountable for tasks and responsibilities. 4. Reliability and being on time. 5. Basic employment skills.
