Job ID: 59307 Job Category: Project Management Division & Section: Corporate Real Estate Management, Project Management Office (PMO) Work Location: Metro Hall, 55 John Street, Toronto Job Type & Duration: Full-time, 2 temporary vacancies, 24 months Salary Range: $105,241–$160,649 per year (TM1576 and PTM3) Shift Information: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week Affiliation: Non-Union Number of Positions Open: 2 Posting Period: August 11, 2026 to September 8, 2026 Role Summary Reporting to the Manager, Major Capital Construction Projects, the Senior Project Manager acts as the City’s internal representative and key liaison between contractors, consultants, City divisions, and stakeholders. The role is responsible for project delivery including budget, schedule, procurement, contract management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. Position 1: 4610 Finch Avenue East Redevelopment The Corporate Real Estate Management Project Management Office is overseeing construction of a new 13-storey facility for Seniors Services and Long-Term Care at 4610 Finch Avenue East in Scarborough. The Senior Project Manager works closely with service providers, City vendors, and stakeholders to deliver this complex brownfield redevelopment project in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk objectives. Position 2: George Street Revitalization The Corporate Real Estate Management Project Management Office is delivering the George Street Revitalization Project, a major city-building initiative that will create an integrated campus featuring long-term care, supportive and affordable housing, emergency shelter services, and community space in downtown Toronto. The Senior Project Manager works closely with service providers, City vendors, and stakeholders to oversee planning, design, and construction while ensuring objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk are achieved. Additional Information Hybrid work model with three days in office per week; the site office counts as one of those days. Candidates may be required to complete an in-person two-hour pre-qualification test. A qualified list may be established for future vacancies and retained for 12 months. Temporary placements require internal approval. What you’ll do

• Develop and implement project plans, policies, and procedures. • Manage multidisciplinary teams of consultants and contractors. • Coordinate all project documentation and communications. • Provide technical expertise and control scope, schedule, and budget. • Represent the City at meetings, committees, and consultations. • Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with legislation and standards. • Develop and manage project budgets and cost-control processes. • Resolve construction issues, delay claims, disputes, and litigation matters. • Obtain approvals from regulatory and government agencies. • Prepare procurement documents, evaluate tenders, and support contract awards. • Prepare reports, briefing notes, business cases, and financial analyses. • Monitor schedules, financial data, and capital variance reporting. • Develop Gantt schedules and provide progress updates. • Coordinate with internal divisions for capital planning and implementation. • Manage warranties and project tracking systems.

Requirements

• Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience. • Extensive experience managing the complete lifecycle of large-scale greenfield and brownfield construction projects. • Strong expertise in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. • Experience managing multi-million-dollar public-sector capital projects. • Knowledge of applicable Ontario codes and legislation, including OBC, OHSA, and AODA. • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex consultant teams. • Strong analytical, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications. • Experience with cost estimating and lifecycle costing is an asset. • Advanced Microsoft Project and Excel skills. • PMP, PMI-CP, or LEED certification is an asset. • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence.
