Casual Operator/Labourer Job Competition

Job Opportunity Casual Operator/Labourer The Town of Bishop’s Falls is currently accepting applications for casual Operators/Labourers who primarily work in the Public Works Department and are responsible for the following: Operating heavy equipment to implement public works services and programs. Maintaining the Town’s infrastructure. Casual Operators/Labourers may voluntarily join the Recreation Department's casual call-in list where they will be responsible for the following: Working in the Pat O’Reilly Memorial Stadium. Maintaining recreation facilities. Assisting with recreation programs and events. A complete job description can be obtained by contacting the Town Office. To qualify for this job, you need the following: Class 3 (Tandem) Class 5 (Standard Driver’s Licence) Class 8 (Traction) Class 9 (Air Brakes) Experience in operating heavy equipment Clean Driver’s Abstract (Recent) Wages, benefits, and other employment terms outlined in the Collective Agreement between the Town and CUPE Local 1349 apply. This competition is open until filled.

The operator/labourer is responsible for operating heavy equipment to implement public works services and maintaining town infrastructure. They may also assist with recreation facility maintenance and event support at the local stadium.

Candidates must possess a valid Class 3, Class 5, Class 8, and Class 9 driver's licence along with a clean driver's abstract. Previous experience in operating heavy equipment is required for this role.
