Posting Number: T7-4054695 - Round 1 Description: Math/Science Teacher - Grades 8-10 Location: Fernie Secondary School, Fernie, BC Contract Type: Part-time Temporary (0.857 FTE) Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $60,325 to $102,143, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package and pension. Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay). Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification. Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting. Job Summary Math/Science Teacher - Grades 8-10 0.857 FTE temporary contract, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to January 29, 2027. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Math and Science at the Secondary level. This position is scheduled to include Grade 8 Math/Science, Grade 9 Math/Science and Grade 10 Science. Please note that all work will be on site.
