School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) is located in the southeast corner of the province of British Columbia. With an approximate population of 36,000 most people live in the communities of Cranbrook, South Country (Baynes Lake, Grasmere, Elko, Galloway and Jaffray), Fernie, Sparwood and Elkford. The successful candidate will serve as a Grade 1/2 Teacher at Frank J. Mitchell Elementary School. Responsibilities include delivering primary level education and adhering to the terms of the collective agreement.

Music Teacher, Grades K-6, 0.40 FTE temporary

On-site · Fernie

The Music Teacher will provide music instruction to students in grades K-6 at Isabella Dicken Elementary School. The role involves teaching on-site for two days per week on a temporary contract basis.

Math/Science Teacher, Gr. 8-10, 0.857 FTE temporary

On-site · Fernie

The teacher will be responsible for instructing Grade 8 and 9 Math and Science, as well as Grade 10 Science. All instructional activities will be conducted on-site at Fernie Secondary School.

Kindergarten Teacher, 0.60 FTE temporary

On-site · Fernie

The successful candidate will serve as a Kindergarten Teacher at Isabella Dicken Elementary School. The role involves teaching primary level students on a part-time basis for three days per week.
