School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) is located in the southeast corner of the province of British Columbia. With an approximate population of 36,000 most people live in the communities of Cranbrook, South Country (Baynes Lake, Grasmere, Elko, Galloway and Jaffray), Fernie, Sparwood and Elkford. The communities and their surrounding areas are supported by resource based industries such as mining, forestry, tourism, along with other small secondary industries. The successful candidate will serve as a Grade 1/2 Teacher at Frank J. Mitchell Elementary School. Responsibilities include delivering primary level education and adhering to the terms of the collective agreement.

The Music Teacher will provide music instruction to students in grades K-6 at Isabella Dicken Elementary School. The role involves teaching on-site for two days per week on a temporary contract basis.
