This position reports to the Team Leader of Gadzoosdaa Residence, this pivotal role is central to a dedicated team establishing a robust framework. Our purpose of this position is to provide unmatched support, understanding, and guidance for students away from home, fostering secure, enriched environments for their growth. With diverse opportunities, we nurture intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.

The position includes office admin and maintenance coordination, enhancing our residence's seamless operation. Simultaneously, the evening Supervisor creates a 'home away from home' for rural Yukon high school students, providing custodial, security, food prep, activity programming and supervisory services.

The ideal candidate enjoys fostering students' well-being, supporting education, and excels in empathy, conflict resolution, and communication. We are committed to a respectful workplace where everyone is valued.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet each of the following qualifications. Please note, selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume. Cover letters will not be assessed in the screening process.

  • Post-secondary coursework in Education, Social Sciences, Sports or Recreation
  • Experience working with youth in a cross-cultural environment
  • Experience planning, coordinating and implementing programs
  • Experience providing supervision to youth.
  • Experience working directly with youth from Yukon communities would be an asset

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Job Requirements:

  • This position works onsite in a student residence.
