Reporting to the Director or Manager of the unit, the Summer Student will assist the Department that they are assigned to. Responsibilities will include: Assisting as necessary in preparation and implementation of departmental initiatives; Working on assignments and projects that will improve the processes and procedures within the Department; Acting as backup for Department Consultants/Specialist; Other duties as assigned by the Director or Manager of Department.

Compliance with all regulatory requirements as may be applicable to your position including but not limited to both SLGA requirements and the Anti-Money Laundering requirements set out in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and regulations and policies made thereunder by Canada and FINTRAC.
Currently enrolled full-time at a post secondary institution in a certificate, diploma or degree program , and returning full-time as a student in the fall of 2024.
Preference will be given to candidates in a field of study related to the SIGA property and hiring manager’s business units needs.
Experience in the fields of Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Procurement is an asset.
Experience in managing small initiatives is an asset.
Experience in research and analysis is an asset.
Experience working with various computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
