Job Description
Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager or designate, the Staff Nurse is responsible for patient assessment, problem identification and care planning, the delivery and evaluation of nursing care within the framework of the primary care concept.

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)

Additional Information
The ability to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of commonly used psychotropic medications, the Provincial Mental Health Services Act and Regulations, psychiatric conditions, demonstrated competency in comprehensive psychiatric nursing assessments, care planning and treatment is preferred. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
