Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to adapt to changing conditions Advanced assessment skills Advanced interpersonal skills Advanced organizational skills Counseling skills Facilitation skills Mediation skills Additional Information The ability to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of commonly used psychotropic medications, the Provincial Mental Health Services Act and Regulations, psychiatric conditions, demonstrated competency in comprehensive psychiatric nursing assessments, care planning and treatment is preferred. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
