Join a leader in French summer camps in the GTA whose mission is to provide rich and engaging experiential French programs that support bilingualism, and help us continue to grow and expand our mission to support children in their bilingual journey. You will join a dynamic team where initiative and commitment are rewarded. We are looking for dynamic, young volunteers for summer 2024 camps.


Type: Assistance and supervision/Report to the Senior Counselors


Location: GTA


Schedule: Monday to Friday.


You will carry out, in a manner acceptable to the Camp and in accordance with the Camp Staff Manual and as otherwise required by the Camp from time to time, the duties of your position specified above, in a safe, competent and effective fashion, including being punctual and using your best efforts at all times. Upon the request of the Camp Director(s), you agree to serve in any capacity, as directed from time to time. These duties include the following among other ones:


  1. The Volunteer will assist senior counsellors and conduct workshops and activities in the arts and crafts module with groups of children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old, with the assistance of counsellors. Procedures and descriptions of the workshops and activities will be provided ahead of time. The Volunteer should be familiar with them and prepared for the session. The Volunteer must be prepared to run the arts and crafts workshop individually including preparing the necessary material in advance and maintaining the cleanliness of the room. As required, suggestions for improvements/changes will be made to the team leader.
  2. The Volunteer must organize games and activities at recesses and lunch breaks for whichever groups he/she is assigned.
  3. The Volunteer will lead at least two 'Grand Jeux' per week (one must be on Thursday at the splash pad), with the support and assistance of other counsellors where needed.
  4. The Volunteer will lead one station (to be determined in coordination with the Campus Coordinator/senior counsellor) during the Friday Olympiades, for whichever group to whom they are assigned.
  5. The Volunteer will supervise campers throughout the day and ensure their safety as required and will assist the senior counsellor as required and support the campus coordinator as required.
  6. At all times during the hours of the camp, the volunteer will express himself or herself in French with the campers and other counsellors and encourage the campers to do the same, except when interacting with the bilingual 5 and 6 years old groups.

Must be bilingual (French/English)


Must be in a good fit to lead and supervise activiites
