SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to work within the Commercialization Office and based out of the Bloorview Research Institute at Holland Bloorview. The BRI recently released it's 2023-2030 Strategic Priorities. In line with these priorities, the Business Development Specialist will support the execution of our commercialization strategy through internal and external partnerships.
The Business Development Specialist will play a crucial role in facilitating the transfer of innovative technologies and research outcomes from BRI to the commercial sector. In addition, the Business Development Specialist will also bring in revenue through our MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) services focusing on expanding and enhancing the utilization of MRI services within a research setting.
The successful candidate will have experience in digital and technology business development, with a proven history of successfully finalizing commercialization agreements. This includes adept negotiation skills in intellectual property licensing deals with the help of an extensive network spanning the private sector, investment, and venture domains. A career trajectory indicating a genuine passion for the field, particularly its application in healthcare, is crucial.
