Our client is a busy machine shop in the Stoney Creek area that is growing aggressively in the market and looking for skilled individuals to join their team and run projects.
Machine Operation: Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines.
Programming: Translating blueprints, drawings, and specifications into CNC programs.
Quality Control: Inspecting machined parts to ensure they meet specifications.
Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines
Tooling: Selecting, preparing, and mounting appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials on the CNC mill.
Program Loading: Loading or developing the necessary CNC programs into the machine controller.
Setup Verification: Ensuring that the setup meets quality standards and specifications, including verifying tool positioning and machine settings.
Interpreting Design Data: Reading and understanding blueprints, engineering drawings, and 3D models to determine the required dimensions and tolerances of the finished part.
Developing Machining Programs: Creating the CNC code that instructs the machine how to cut and shape the raw material into the desired part.
Optimizing Machining Processes: Choosing the appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and other parameters to ensure efficient and accurate production.
Other duties as assigned.
CAT 50 Bit Plus Mitsubishi Machine
CNC Mill – 5 axis – minimum 5 years’ experience with steel
Must have setup experience
Must have programming – on the machine – G Code savvy
Working with mild steel and stainless steel
Attention to detail
Good verbal communication
Able to follow verbal and written instructions
Must pass a criminal background check
$40/hour + 4% vacation pay
Paid weekly, every Friday. 1 week behind
Opportunity for permanent hire
Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends
The Shift You Will be Working is:
6am to 3:30pm Mon to Thurs and 6am to 10am on Fridays
30 mins unpaid lunch
With opportunity for overtime after 44 hours
