Work Description
Under the guidance of the Controller, the Scanning Clerk is responsible for a variety of duties, in support of several different departments. Duties include filing, scanning, data entry and reception coverage.

This is a summer student position from May 2024 through August 2024. (37.5 hour work week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain files and records according to naming conventions, and scan files for electronic storage;
  • Assist in the implementation of office procedures and practices;
  • Performing data entry tasks and updating documents and files;
  • Various clerical duties as required;
  • Any other duties as required.

Statement of Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A high school diploma is required for this role.
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business is considered an asset;
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and approach situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.

Physical/Sensory Effort/Work Environment

  • Providing service to several people, working under many simultaneous deadlines;
  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time at workstation;
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals;
  • Repetitive work.
