The Customer Experience team is looking for an individual to assist in 5G Quality Assurance testing to hunt for potential flaws in the radio base station software. This role involves learning the concepts and features that make up the LTE, NR, and IoT standards by working with real world equipment. In this job the successful candidate can gain experience with different test tools and automation (scripting & tool creation). This can be a lively job that provides great experience for those interested in Digital Transformation (Cloud Native, Machine Learning, AI).

What you will do

  • Initially perform activities specifically related to QA testing and, while in the second portion of this internship, have the opportunity to apply the earlier - learning by exploring analytic concepts using Cloud Native services, which can include Microservices and Automation.
  • Increase your problem-solving abilities by identifying issues and working with various teams to resolve them.
  • Obtain working knowledge of various third-party software tools, such as Confluence, GIT, Jenkins, and Jira, which are staples in countless technology companies
  • Build a strong foundation in data related skills, such as data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), with the use of data pipelines and data visualization.
  • Better understand the 5G technology and associated measurement data, with the utilization of strong Python scripting skills

You will bring

  • An academic background in science or engineering
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Strong self-motivation and an ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Curiosity towards the emerging fields of the Cloud Native Landscape, Machine Learning and AI
  • A desire to work with cutting edge technologies

This position reports to Line Manager of BNEW.
