JOB SUMMARY

SWCHC is looking for an experienced RPN/RN to work within our busy Primary Health Care Clinic. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing nursing assessments, telephone triage, routine immunizations, other injections such as allergy shots, COVID-19 vaccinations, and other procedures within the scope of practice.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Current license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RN/RPN)
  • Current CPR (preferred)


Professional Experience

  • Three to five years’ experience in community nursing
  • Previous clinic experience an asset.
  • Previous experience using an EMR, preferably Practice Solutions Suite (PSS)
  • Experience providing routine immunizations for all ages


Key Competencies

  • Knowledge of primary health care and the social determinants of health
  • Able to work effectively in an inter-professional environment.
  • Knowledge and awareness related to cultural competence.
  • Experience working with disadvantaged communities.
  • Knowledge of nursing care related to Primary Care/Community Health/Chronic Disease Management


Language Capacity

  • English required.
  • French or other language(s) an asset
