If you want to be at the centre of some of The Region's biggest events - this is the job for you! GardaWorld is looking for multiple security guards to join our team to work long weekend events throughout the Spring and Summer. This role will see you patrolling beautiful locations, making sure events run smoothly and safely. Successful applicants will have previous experience in a customer service role, with previous security experience seen as an asset. Applicants will also need to be able to showcase excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as motivation for applying and working in a security role. In order to progress to the hiring stage, our event and floater guards must agree to work at least one shift every two weeks and have open availability during holiday weekends when our events take place.
These holiday weekends are as follows:
1. May 18th-20th
2. June 9th - July 1st
3. August 3rd- 5th
4. August 31st - September 2nd
Pay Rates between $17.00 - $20.00 + sat. pay where applicable

Monitor access of entryways and exit points
Conduct preventive surveillance rounds
Point of contact with authorities and emergency services
A valid Ontario Security Guard License and First Aid card
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A sound understanding of material contained in ministry mandated 40 Hour security guard training
Demonstrated customer service skills
Available to work schedule described in Job Description
Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (cold, heat, rain)
Have a clear criminal background
Be eligible to work in Canada
