About The Role

As we are continuing to grow our business locally and globally, we are looking for an experienced and high performing Account Manager to join our Business Development team who will maintain existing accounts as well as develop new accounts to bring in revenues for the company. The Account Manager will proactively nurture and maintain strong relationships with our customers around the globe. Key duties of the role involve:

  • Proactively managing and growing channel & customer accounts and overall customer base
  • Developing strategic plans to ensure revenue targets and KPIs are met
  • Forecasting and monitoring account metrics for each channel & customer
  • Communicating progress of monthly, quarterly, and yearly initiatives to supervisor
  • Building and strengthening channel relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
  • Evaluating partnerships and optimizing BD efforts on an on-going basis

  • An excellent negotiator and communicator with outstanding active listening skills
  • Experienced in prospecting and developing new business accounts and relationships

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Building and maintaining strong and long-lasting channel partners & customer relationships
  • Effectively communicating value propositions to prospective clients through proposals, presentations, emails, phone calls and other communication methods
  • Collaborating with internal teams and departments to meet client needs and create new business opportunities
  • Up-selling and cross-selling company products and services

Requirements and Skills:

  • in Life Science (Preferably in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or relevant field)
  • At least 5 years of Business Development experience in the biotech industry
  • Previous distributors management or channel management experience an asset
  • Proven sales and business development track record, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Demonstrable experience in business development, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

**This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Richmond BC. Successful candidate must be able to start working onsite from start date and there will not be relocation allowance.
