Description

Working with the main fundraising coordinator in planning and delivering the Centre of Hope fundraising campaigns, events, donations, community partner activities, programs, initiatives, volunteers and events through Social Media; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Constant Contact, etc.

HOURS:

  • 16 hours per week
  • Will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and speaking engagements
  • During fall fundraising season (Nov-Dec), may be required to work a flexible schedule including afternoon (noon-8pm or 2- 10pm) shifts as well as a Tuesday through Saturday work week

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on the Centre of Hope fundraising campaigns, events, donations,
  • Schedule weekly Facebook and Instagram posts for the Centre of Hope and the Thrift Store using Canva.
  • Research, development and creation of content for the Spring and Winter newsletter campaigns.
  • Review of and update of current collateral brochures.
  • Assists with the annual review of and provide updates to the Centre of Hope website host.
  • Assist in the development of promotional materials, annual fundraising and other media and fundraising appeal related
  • Assists in the creation and promotion of Centre of Hope fundraising events and fundraising focused projects, including communicating need for volunteers and community support.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors through monthly thank you phone calls.
  • Provide support to the Fundraising and Kettle Coordinators during the annual Red Kettle Christmas Campaign.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:

  • At least one (1) years of community college, with specialized/relevant courses

Experience:

  • At least two (2) years of prior related experience, including customer service, coordinating events, administrative assistance and database management experience

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Proficient in WORD, Excel and able to create and post on all Social Media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube
  • Motivated to meet and exceed fundraising goals, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with donors/sponsors and other stakeholders to meet business objectives

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, flexibility, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
