Associated Ambulance is currently accepting expressions of interest for Primary Care Paramedics (PCP's) to work as a Rover deploying out of the Edmonton Fleet Office to support our North East and North West Regions.


Start Date: April 1, 2024

Position Information & Hours of work:


  • Temporarory Full-time (TFT)
  • Annual Hours of work: 2190
  • Hours per shift: 12
  • Shift Rotation: 4 on/4off
  • Shift Pattern: 2 days/2 nights
  • Hours of work: 0700-1900/1900-0700
  • Salary: $27.19-$41.51 per hour

What you'll be doing in your role:


  • administer pre-hospital medical care
  • check and monitor vital signs, measure blood glucose levels and use other diagnostic procedures
  • perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • provide oxygen, administer medications including intravenous (IV) treatments, perform bandaging and splinting, assist in childbirth and provide initial treatment to trauma patient
  • stabilize an injured or ill person
  • hospital transports
  • patient assessments
  • collaborate with other emergency medical personnel, physicians, nurses and other health professionals.


Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program.
  • Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACoP) as a Primary Care Paramedic.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's license with an abstract indicating no serious traffic safety violations - abstract will be requested.
  • Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) and Vulnerable Sector check currently on file for internal applicats or these documents must be provided upon hire for external.
