We are looking for a Dual-Ticketed Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Journeyperson to join our Calgary Manufacturing Facility. Reporting to the Lead head, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Mechanic Journeyperson is responsible for the installation of HVAC equipment within our modular units and buildings in our Manufacturing facility in Calgary.

This is a union-based position located in Calgary.

What You Get to Do:

  • Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul industrial, commercial, and residential refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their parts.
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning systems and components.
  • Install and calibrate related controls (including wiring) and start-up systems.
  • Install line sets, troubleshoot, and test air conditioning units, test lines to detect leaks, record the readings taken to ensure that the system is functioning satisfactorily.
  • Perform quality inspections.

Who You Are:

  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Journeyperson with a dual ticket in any of the following trades Sheet Metal Worker, Plumber, or Electrician.
  • Prior experience in and ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Safety-oriented and with the ability to follow all safety procedures.
  • Good math, science, and basic computer skills
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods.
  • Capacity to lift heavy equipment and materials to 55 lbs. unassisted when required.
  • A team player and a safe worker, who can safely handle materials and operate hand and power tools.
