Journeyman Welders – Short-Term Project Openings: 2 Duration: Approximately two weeks Anticipated Start: Within the next one to two weeks, subject to material arrival and site readiness Location: To be confirmed Matrix Camps, Logistics & Aviation is seeking two Journeyman Welders for a short-term container reinforcement project. The work involves reinforcing three 40-foot open-top shipping containers with 6-inch and 3-inch C-channel steel in accordance with Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings. Steel has been ordered in pre-cut lengths to support efficient installation on site. Operator support will be provided where required. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret IFC drawings to confirm reinforcement locations and installation requirements. Prepare container surfaces and steel components for fit-up and welding. Position, fit and weld pre-cut C-channel reinforcement according to project drawings. Verify measurements, alignment and fit-up before completing welds. Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project requirements. Coordinate with equipment operators to safely position materials as required. Follow site safety procedures, including hot-work requirements, and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Welder certification. Experience with steel fabrication, fit-up and welding. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Ability to work safely and independently while coordinating with the site team. Ability to perform the physical duties associated with on-site welding and installation. Availability to deploy within the next one to two weeks and complete an approximately two-week assignment.
