RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping * Implement an Emergent Curriculum * Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being * Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development * Complete attendance records and health & safety checks * Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as needed * Support children through daily routines and classroom transitions * Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities SKILLS & COMPETENCIES * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to effectively communicate with children, families, and colleagues * Proficiency with computer systems for documentation and classroom operations * Collaborative team player with a positive attitude * Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative * Strong problem-solving skills QUALIFICATIONS * Valid BC ECE license * Current Criminal Record Check * Valid Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR certification * Up-to-date immunizations * Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 45 lbs WHAT WE OFFER * A supportive and positive work environment * Opportunities for career growth and advancement * Recognition for your dedication and contributions * Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision) – 100% employer-paid (for eligible employees) * 35% discount on childcare services * 20 days of complimentary backup childcare per year
