Join FIREFLY's Youth Engagement Team! Are you passionate about making a difference for young people? FIREFLY is looking for enthusiastic, motivated students to help shape the future of programs and services for children, youth, and families across Northwestern Ontario. We're recruiting for two exciting student opportunities: Youth Engagement Lead and Youth Engagement Assistant Both roles play an important part in ensuring youth voices are heard, valued, and included in decisions that affect them. Make a real difference in your community. Whether you're already involved in student leadership, volunteer activities, sports, youth councils, or community initiatives, or you're simply passionate about helping young people have a voice, we'd love to hear from you. Eligibility: We welcome applications from students who: Are currently attending high school, college, university, trades training, or another post-secondary program. Applicants interested in the Youth Engagement Assistant should be between 16 and 25 years of age and have an interest in leadership, youth engagement, or community involvement. Flexible Student-Friendly Work We know school comes first. Hours are flexible and will be scheduled around your academic commitments and availability. Both positions may include occasional evening or weekends depending on events and engagement activities. Students attending post-secondary programs outside of FIREFLY's service region are welcome to apply. While you may live elsewhere during the academic year, successful candidates will be expected to be available within the FIREFLY service region during summer break to support in-person youth engagement activities. About the Role: Depending on the position, you may: Support youth events, surveys, focus groups, and outreach activities. Gather feedback from youth and help bring their ideas forward. Build connections with youth across the region. Participate in projects, committees, and improvement initiatives.
