Position #: 9012974 Expected Start Date: October 13, 2026 Union: OOS Facility: Saskatchewan Health Authority City/Town: Saskatoon Department: First Nation Metis Health Relations - Compassionate Care Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: October 13, 2028 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 5 shifts of 7.5 hours per 1 weeks Relief: No Float: No Salary or Pay Band: As per Terms and Conditions of Employment Travel Required: Yes Job Descpition: The Policy Specialist – Indigenous Engagement and Implementation is directly accountable to the Indigenous Engagement and Implementation Director, First Nations and Métis Health, and provides policy development, analysis, engagement and implementation expertise, with a primary focus on the Compassionate Intervention Act and its implications for First Nations and Métis peoples, communities, patients, families and healthcare providers across Saskatchewan. Human Resources Exemption: No Education: * Undergraduate degree in policy, public administration, health administration, Indigenous studies, social sciences, healthcare or a related discipline. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. * Additional training in one of the areas of 1) archiving 2) records management 3) policy development 4) clinical standards 5) government relations and 6) communication is an asset Experience: * 7+ years of experience working in a research/policy analyst or senior role * Experience in a senior clinical and/or corporate role * Corporate and/or Clinical policy development experience Competencies * Advanced - Leadership skills * Advanced - Analytical skills * Advanced - Interpersonal skills * Advanced - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities * Demonstrated team facilitation skills * Exceptional planning, organizational and interpersonal skills * Expert written and verbal communication skills including excellent proficiency in editing material for clarity, accuracy and conciseness * Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability * Knowledge and understanding of Accreditation Canada policy recommendations on a corporate-wide basis * Excellent computer skills, with a good working knowledge of various programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Schedule Plus, Visio, Intranet/Internet, and the capability to learn new programs as required * Ability to adapt to frequent change and work under pressure * Ability to work collegially, collaboratively and build positive relationships through respectful and influential interactions * Ability to learn and develop a working knowledge of the organization, including its governance and organizational structure and relationships * Demonstrates a commitment to a diverse, culturally competent and culturally safe work environment and representative workforce * Be self-directed and confident in applying independent judgment * Possess a high degree of initiative, ingenuity, including the ability to work with little, and/or no, supervision * Proven ability to maintain confidentiality including handling confidential information with discretion Other Information * Travel within Saskatchewan The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment. Requirements

Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least 7 years of experience in a research, policy, or senior clinical/corporate role. Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills are required, along with a commitment to cultural safety and reconciliation.
