Position #: 9011189 Expected Start Date: October 23, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Swift Current Community Services City/Town: Swift Current Department: Mental Health Community Case Management - Rehab Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: May 03, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Mental Health Therapist - Staff $35.546 to $43.466 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: In accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Mental Health and Addictions services, the incumbent is accountable for provision of direct concurrent mental health and addiction services to adults and their families. These services will include individual, group and family counseling, case management, and public education/consultation in the area of mental health and addictions. The incumbent shall function within the practice principles of the Mental Health and Addictions Services' program management model. Human Resources Exemption: No Education * Degree in Human Services field acceptable to the employer Licenses * Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies * Communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills. * Time management skills * Organizational skills Knowledge and Abilities * Knowledge of Government of Sask Detox Programming Standards (2012) * Ability to refer to, network, and work cooperatively with community agencies * Know of community resources to support clients/families dealing w/addiction * ability and willingness to travel within service delivery area * Ability to distinguish normal and abnormal emotional behavioral functioning. * Knowledge in best practices in addictions and harm reduction strategies * Knowledge of protocols and Legislation that related addictions and mental health * Knowledge of systems theory and human lifespan development * Knowledge in applicable models of therapeutic interventions * Ability to initiate, plan and conduct treatment groups or education * Knowledge of addictions screening and assessment tools and procedures * Apply ethical, culturally sensitive and legal principles in practice * Knowledge in wraparound or other principles * Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team * Ability to cope effectively with stress, change, and diversity * Ability to work flexible hours * Knowledge in principles for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Services for Saskatchewan * Ability to design and provide in-service training to other professionals * Sound knowledge of mental health and addictions theory. * Provide consultation services to staff and other agencies. * Excellent public relations skills * Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation * Ability to develop, lead and maintain family-centered, integrated case teams Other Information * Registered/eligible to register with corresponding professional association The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment. Requirements

Candidates must hold a degree in a Human Services field acceptable to the employer and possess a valid Class 5 driver's license. Professional registration or eligibility for registration with a corresponding association is also required.
