Job summary
Temporary Attendance Secretary Duties Reporting to the Principal/Administrative Assistant, the duties of the Attendance Secretary include: Record and maintain subject attendance for students on a daily basis Follow-up on unexplained absences with parents Generation of daily computer attendance reports Maintenance of student attendance files Assist in mark reporting, scheduling, OnSIS report, year-end procedures and withdrawal of students Preparation of letters, forms Answer phones and P. A. calls from classrooms Respond to inquiries from agencies Work closely with Vice-Principals responsible for attendance and discipline All other duties assigned by the Principal/Administrative Assistant Qualifications Secondary school graduate or equivalent required Successful completion of an Office Administration Program from a recognized Post-Secondary Institution and/or equivalent experience in office administration is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher) Experience with Google Applications would be an asset Experience with Aspen (Student Information System) would be an asset Experience with EasyConnect would be an asset Proven commitment to maintaining confidentiality Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Applicants must have the required qualifications including skills, knowledge, experience and ability to perform all duties in a satisfactory manner.
