The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Reliability Engineer/Advisor to join our Maintenance Engineering & Reliability Team in Long Harbour, NL. This is a 1 year fixed-term on-site position, working a 4x10s Monday to Thursday schedule at the Long Harbour Operations site in Long Harbour, NL. As a Reliability Engineer/Advisor you will be responsible for strategic maintenance initiatives associated with optimizing spare parts inventory and warehouse management systems to ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime. Your experience and skills will develop, validate, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support proactive maintenance strategies and lifecycle planning. By leveraging data-driven insights and reliability methodologies, the Reliability Engineer/Advisor enhances asset performance while improving material readiness and cost efficiency. Additionally, in this position you will: Develop, audit, and maintain equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy and completeness. Optimize spare parts inventory levels by analyzing usage trends, criticality, and lifecycle requirements. Collaborate on the repairable process, facilitating data and coordination between maintenance and warehouse. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and procurement to standardize parts, eliminate duplicates, and ensure material availability. Identify existing OEM parts to the warehouse and propose cost savings alternatives. Implement and monitor KPIs related to spare parts performance, BOM accuracy, and material readiness. Ensure master data quality within SAP for parts, BOMs, and asset structures. A Professional Engineering Designation (P. Eng) from PEGNL or the ability to be registered is preferred. Engineer-in-Training applicants may be considered. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in reliability or maintenance engineering in a mining or heavy industrial environment. Skills: Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Knowledge and understanding of codes, regulations, and specifications. Strong computer skills in SAP would be an asset. Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills.
