Job Title: AS400 Developer / IBM i Developer 12+ Months Contract Remote 100% - Canada Title: AS400 Programmer Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced AS400 (IBM i) Developer responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting business applications on the IBM i platform. The candidate will work on RPG programming, DB2 databases, production support, and application enhancements. Key Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on AS400 / IBM i platform Write and maintain RPG / RPGLE / CLLE programs Develop and support batch jobs, interfaces, and online applications Work with DB2 for i database objects, SQL queries, stored procedures Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions Perform debugging, testing, and production support Troubleshoot application issues and provide root cause analysis Work with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams Participate in code reviews and deployment activities Required Skills: Strong experience with: IBM i (AS400) RPG III / RPG IV / RPGLE / Free Format RPG CLLE / CL Programming DB2 for i SQL Job Control Language (JCL) concepts SDA/RLU (screen and report development) Experience with: Change management tools Production support Batch processing Integration/interfaces
