Job summary
Cyber Risk Assessment and GRC Support Consultant. Level: Mid/Senior Consultant Start Date: July 27,2026 Duration: July 26,2027 Hours: Full-time 40/hrs /week Location: Hybrid - Toronto/GTA Travel - N/A Languages: English Rate: $80-110/hr Description Key Responsibilities Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and threats. Support cybersecurity operations across areas such as threat detection, vulnerability management, identity and access management, endpoint security, and cloud security. Investigate security alerts, identify root causes, and recommend remediation actions. Perform security assessments, risk analysis, and control validation activities. Review security logs, reports, and dashboards to identify anomalies and emerging risks. Collaborate with technical teams to resolve security issues and improve security posture. Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders. Manage multiple priorities and deliver results with minimal guidance. Required Qualifications 3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or cyber operations. Strong technical understanding of multiple cybersecurity capabilities, including: Security Operations (SOC) Vulnerability Management Cloud Security (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Identity & Access Management (IAM) Endpoint Security Threat Detection and Incident Response Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically. Experience investigating complex security issues and making risk-based decisions. Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables. What you’ll do
The consultant will monitor and respond to security incidents while performing risk assessments and control validation. They are also responsible for investigating security alerts, documenting findings, and collaborating with technical teams to improve security posture.
Requirements
Candidates must have 3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity or cyber operations with strong technical knowledge in SOC, cloud security, and IAM. Applicants must currently reside in Canada and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
