Job summary

Your Opportunity As Stantec's Energy & Resources group continues to grow, we have an opportunity for a Project Controller Lead to join our team for a site-based secondment in Sudbury, ON. The Project Controls Lead reports to the Client’s Project Controls Manager but on a day-to-day basis works in collaboration with the project teams. Your Key Responsibilities Collaborating with Senior Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Planners and Schedulers, Project Accountants and other team members including clients, the Project Controls Specialist will: * Actively participate in the development of project estimates, budgets, resource plans, and schedules for all project lifecycle phases. * Fully understand the scope of the assigned project, proactively identify and communicate potential gaps and risks. * Work closely with project teams to maintain a current and accurate understanding of project status, issues and changes. * Communicate effectively with internal team members, leadership, financial managers, external clients and consultants. * Produce lagging and leading performance indicator reports including earned value, potential change order logs, risk registers, estimates to complete, variance reports, etc. to enable proactive decision making. * Keep the project teams informed of barriers to maintaining the budget and schedule, offer recommendations for corrective actions or opportunities to increase efficiencies. * Develop and cultivate positive relationships with Clients. * Continuously seek to improve Project Controls processes We rise to the biggest challenges because we demand excellence. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Requirements

Candidates must have over 10 years of experience in cost and schedule management within engineering and construction environments. Preferred qualifications include a professional degree in engineering, project management certifications (PMP, CCP), and proficiency in MS 365 and project control software.
