You could be an asset to our Premium Team! Full-time temporary contract lasting 3 to 6 months. Logistics Managers assumes the responsibility for all freight and logistics strategy for the company. Working across both manufacturing and aftermarket distribution business, this role is responsible for lane mapping, lane optimization, carrier contract negotiation and carrier performance management. All the important tasks we'll trust you with: Freight Category Management Responsible for freight and logistics category that include land, ocean and air. Develops lane data analytics to understand cost, utilization and services levels/performance of the service providers Understand cost drivers for lane by mode and ensures cost competitiveness across all modes of freight Market tests freight cost by mode and utilization Establishes and re-negotiates freight contracts. Develop processes to validate freight cost and surcharges Carrier and Contract Administration Manage relationships with transportation carriers and service providers. Negotiate and oversee contracts in coordination with the General Manager. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in logistics operations. Data Analysis and Reporting Responsible for developing and maintaining freight data by mode, lane etc. Responsible for developing and maintaining freight utilization data by mode and lane Responsible for developing and maintaining cost break up per each mode and lane of operation Your areas of strength and expertise that matter most for this role: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Logistics, or related field Or 10+Years experience in field. Hands-on experience in developing and implementing freight management programs within manufacturing, industrial or consumer business environments Hands-on experience in dealing with both ocean and land freight management Hands-on experience in developing and managing 3PL, contract logistics operators Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
