SOAR Community Services is a not-for-profit organization that has been offering help to the people in Brantford, Brant, and Haldimand for over 55 years. Today, we provide our community members with support in the areas of Employment, Housing, Justice, and Addictions and Mental Health. Some of the most vulnerable people we work with need assistance in more than one – or even all - of these categories.

The Case Manager will provide direct support to individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness by assisting with housing applications and resource referrals. They will also maintain accurate documentation, conduct assessments, and collaborate with the housing services team to ensure effective program delivery.

The Crisis Counsellor provides immediate support, risk assessments, and stabilization for individuals experiencing mental health or addiction crises. They also manage phone and walk-in services, including the 9-8-8 national helpline, while liaising with community resources.

The Child and Youth Worker manages client behaviors using crisis intervention techniques and provides life skills training through a cognitive behavioral approach. They also monitor medication, prepare meals, and advocate for the needs of youth in a residential setting.
