This role will assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, their families’ and other staff members while mentoring and providing direction and education to our care staff and other team members’. What You’ll Do * Effectively utilizing the nursing process to provide high quality nursing care to residents * Supervisory duties including ensuring excellent care services to Seasons’ residents and providing mentoring/education/guidance to the care team on an ongoing basis * Assessments of residents moving into Seasons community and following up with residents throughout the transition to community (30 days after move in, annually and with any significant change as per CCHSS) * Establish priorities based on individual resident needs * Providing Person Centre Service Plans (PCC) * Ensuring compliance with Resident Assessments/Service Plans (PCC) and follows community specific policies, procedures and Alberta Health Services (AHS) regulations * Risk management by adhering to thorough monthly care related audits * Medication administration (PCC knowledge an asset) * What You’ll Bring * Experience working with seniors in a retirement or long-term care facility environment is considered an asset * Current Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with CLPNA * Strong leadership and supervisory skills in relation to both residents and care staff * Point-Click-Care (PCC) knowledge is considered an asset * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations * Current First Aid and CPR certification * What We Offer * A safe, inclusive workplace where you’re supported and appreciated * Competitive compensation and benefits * Opportunities for leadership development and career growth * A warm, welcoming culture inspired by our vision of making people’s lives better, driven by our mission to create happy, healthy, and meaningful lives for our residents * Additional Requirements * Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required SL4D line # 4 - Nights (7PM - 7.15AM) - 82.25 hours biweekly SL4D line # 4 - 82.25 hours biweekly
What you’ll do
Supervise care staff and provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a retirement community. Conduct resident assessments, develop service plans, and ensure compliance with health regulations and audits.
Requirements
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with CLPNA and hold current First Aid and CPR certifications. Experience in senior care and proficiency with Point-Click-Care is considered an asset.
