Required Qualifications Successful applicants will possess the appropriate education, training and/or experience. Necessary Qualifications Master's degree in Education of the visually impaired Qualifications in orientation and mobility are preferred Valid BC Teaching certificate Ability to travel between sites Candidates Should Have Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team High level of interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to prioritize Ability to collaborate effectively with school teams, families and community agencies Knowledge of student eligibility for Ministry of Education Vision and Deafblind categories Ability to provide universal tier one supports for students with vision challenges in classrooms Ability to provide program/resource development for students with vision-based needs and to contribute to IEP development Ability to consult with district and school-based staff, parents, and community agencies to support students with vision-based needs Knowledge of current assistive technologies to support students with vision needs A willingness to provide a variety of in-service opportunities to school and district staff A willingness to attend district-based professional development opportunities in an effort to stay current and implement best practices For further information, please contact Jill Della Vedova - Principal, Learning Services. Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in Education of the visually impaired and a valid BC Teaching certificate. Candidates should have knowledge of assistive technologies and the ability to travel between different school sites.
