Job summary
General Accountant We are seeking a qualified and motivated General Accountant to join our team on a temporary full-time basis to cover a maternity leave. This contract is expected to begin August 2026 and continue until approximately December 2027 with the possibility of extension based on business needs. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience in a Canadian business environment. College diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA designation. Strong understanding and practical application of accounting principles and theory. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience working with ERP systems; experience with Epicor Kinetic is considered an asset. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the General Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of full-cycle accounting activities. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate general ledger accounts. Perform month-end closing activities and assist the VP Finance in preparing monthly financial reporting packages. Prepare account reconciliations. Maintain customer master data and manage accounts receivable collections. Process and submit government remittances, including GST/HST, QST and etc. Support year-end closing activities and assist with internal audits as required. Provide support in other areas as needed.

Requirements
