Job summary

Position Department: Nursing Position School: School of Health Professions Overview: The Department of Nursing at Robert Morris University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor. The position includes a 24-credit teaching load for a 9-month visiting faculty appointment. The primary responsibility of teaching will be pediatric nursing in the undergraduate and/or graduate nurse practitioner program(s). Responsibilities: The successful candidate will effectively teach undergraduate and graduate-level nurse practitioner courses using a variety of content delivery formats, including on ground, online, and distance education/remote courses. The candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student success through effective teaching-learning practices and course outcomes assessment. The candidate will possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact successfully with students, faculty and the university community. Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must possess a graduate degree in nursing with a doctoral degree in nursing or education or related field (i.e., public health). An unencumbered Pennsylvania or multi-state RN license and nurse practitioner certification in a relevant specialty area (i.e., FNP, PNP) are required. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
