Job summary

The Summer Camp Counsellor creates a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children participating in RED Mountain Resort's Summer Adventure Camp. Counsellors lead outdoor activities that encourage confidence, teamwork, and a love of the outdoors while ensuring the safety and well-being of every camper. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise campers at all times and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. * Lead and assist with daily camp activities, including hiking, nature exploration, outdoor games, crafts, team-building activities, chairlift rides, and environmental education. * Adapt activities to meet the age, ability, and needs of campers. * Follow all RED Mountain Resort safety policies, emergency procedures, and risk management protocols. * Conduct head counts, manage group transitions, and ensure safe loading and unloading during chairlift rides. * Communicate professionally with parents, campers, and fellow staff. * Complete attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation. * Assist with the setup, care, and storage of camp equipment and supplies. * Represent RED Mountain Resort with professionalism and enthusiasm. QUALIFICATIONS * Experience working with children is preferred. * Current Standard First Aid & CPR certification preferred. * Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening. * Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. * Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to hike on uneven terrain and participate in active outdoor programming. * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. * Comfortable spending the full day outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements
