The Night Shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to support safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventative maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and assists with other maintenance-related duties as required to minimize downtime and support production goals. This position typically works Monday to Friday on the night shift, from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with opportunities for extended shifts to 2:00 a.m., overtime, and weekend work based on operational requirements. We offer a competitive total rewards package, including: * Competitive hourly compensation * Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) * PPE reimbursement for safety boots and eye protection * Employee discount programs * A safe, team-oriented work environment Location: Near Mill Creek, Manitoba (MB-234, Little Bullhead, MB R0C 1V0) Duties and Responsibilities * Respond quickly to repair equipment and components to minimize downtime * Work closely with Production Supervision, Process Engineering and management to determine priorities and courses of action to improve uptime, product quality and employee safety * Plan and perform maintenance activities for shutdowns * Participate in the improvement of our preventative maintenance system * Assist in the implementation of new PM procedures and use it to control and record maintenance activities * Perform PM activities on a timely basis and keep records of the activity and the components used * Help maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts * Keep all tools and machine shop equipment in workable condition * At all times work in a manner that maintains the safety of themselves and others * Maintain safety guards on equipment * Work extra hours as required to keep production equipment running * Additional duties as required * Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications * Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem solve equipment issues * Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment * Able to work independently and as part of a team * High Initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, accountability and reliability * Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with teammates, customers and suppliers * Strong work ethic Education and Experience * 3+ years’ experience in a maintenance technician role * Technical knowledge of motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, pneumatic systems, automated manufacturing equipment, feedback systems * Knowledge safeguarding and safety procedures * Understanding of PLC’s and automated equipment considered an asset * Skilled Trade Certification considered an asset * Ability to read CAD drawings considered an asset * Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams considered and asset Job requirements: * Ability to read, write, and speak English. * Must have own means of transportation to and from work.
