About the job In this role, you will: • Lead project teams from across government in the development of transportation policies to improve our transportation network • Provide policy expertise and advice to senior management on a range of policy and program initiatives, issues and their impact on the achievement of the ministry's policy agenda • Work with partners to support implementation of policies by designing legislative, regulatory, or program tools What you bring to the team Policy and Analysis Experience You can: •Lead the development and implementation of transportation policies, strategies, and initiatives. •Assess economic, social, fiscal, and corporate impacts and trends. •Advise senior management on a wide range of transportation policy and program issues. •Apply knowledge of multi-modal transportation systems and relevant legislation. Consultation and Interpersonal Skills You can: • Consult, negotiate, and build consensus to resolve complex policy and program issues. • Use leadership and influence to gain support across ministries and stakeholder groups. • Build partnerships and develop effective consultation frameworks through collaboration and strategic engagement. Project Management Skills You can: • Apply project management principles to lead policy development and impact analysis. • Plan and execute transportation projects and solutions from concept to completion. • Manage competing priorities and develop work plans to meet tight deadlines. • Lead consulting assignments supporting policy and program initiatives. Research and Analytical Skills You can: •Design and conduct research studies, trend analyses, and environmental scans to identify issues and opportunities Communication and Presentation Skills You can: •Prepare and present reports, policy analyses, and briefing materials for senior management. •Deliver presentations to explain and promote policy initiatives to ministry executives and stakeholders.
