Working closely with the research team, principal investigators, and clinical staff, this role ensures studies are conducted safely, ethically, and in accordance with protocol and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities• Review study protocols and orientation materials; attend study orientation meetings and site initiation visits• Participate in study meetings and training; maintain current knowledge of study status, amendments, and milestones• Provide nursing care and support to study/trial participants • Perform study-related procedures, including venipuncture, anthropometry, Tanner staging and other related tasks as required by the study, according to protocol and regulatory standards• Educate participants and families about study procedures, risks, and requirements; support informed consent processes• Accurately document study data and maintain source documents in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP)• Liaise with sponsors, monitors, ethics boards, and regulatory bodies as required• Support recruitment and screening of eligible participants• Send, collect, and process consent forms and related study documentation as needed• Report adverse events and protocol deviations according to established procedures• Maintain participant confidentiality and data integrity throughout the study lifecycle• Attend on-site weekend visits/clinics as required by study schedulesHours of Work 37.5 hours biweeklyThis role is mostly remote, with required on-site presence for participant visits, weekend clinics, and other study activities as needed.Your Qualifications • Current registration and in good standing with the Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator (NSNMR)• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) preferred• 7+ years of clinical nursing experience; prior clinical research/trial experience is required• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Health Canada regulations, and Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS2) an asset• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support participants and families• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team• Proficiency with electronic health records and study data management systems• Current CPR/BLS certification• Prior experience with the MIREC Study an asset• Experience conducting Tanner staging assessments is required• Experience with TANITA, ISCOLE, CANTAB and REDCap platforms an assetThank you for your interest in IWK Health. Requirements

Candidates must have current registration with the Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator and at least 7 years of clinical nursing experience, with prior clinical research experience required. A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred, along with proficiency in study data management systems and clinical assessment techniques.
