Position Scope Position Scope NASI is seeking Haul Truck Operators to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contractors in the region. For this role, NASI offers a base rate of up to $39.25/hour as well as room for growth! Where You’ll Be Working Site: Syncrude-Aurora Schedule: 6 x 6 or 14 x 7 (3 days/3 nights/6 off or 7 days/7 nights/ 7 off)- 12 hour shifts Accommodations: Camp is not provided Work Duration: 9 months +, may be extended Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts) Overtime: is paid for hours worked over 12 hours per shift, on statutory holidays, or for work on a day off. Room for growth and future advancements. Local, home every night! Responsibilities What You'll Be Doing Operate various sizes and models of Haul Truck (CAT 793) as required to complete assigned work. Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures. Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE. Reviewing safe work plans/hazard assessment prior to job commencement. Complete walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure the heavy equipment is running properly. Report any necessary repairs to the Field Operations Supervisor or Maintenance team. Report all incidents, damage and near misses immediately. Qualifications What Makes You the ONE 6+ months of experience operating various sizes of Haul Trucks preference CAT 793. Oilsands specific experience. A safety-first attitude. Attentive and possess strong listening skills. High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset. Must be proficient in English, both verbal and written. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Operate various sizes of haul trucks, specifically the CAT 793, to complete assigned mining work. Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, perform equipment walk-arounds, and report all incidents or maintenance needs.

Requires at least 6 months of haul truck experience, preferably with CAT 793 in an oilsands environment. Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and various Energy Safety Canada certifications.
