Please indicate your faculty and program, your current year and expected graduation date, and include the confirmation of eligibility when applying.*** Hiring Unit: Humanities and Social Sciences Library Number of openings: 3 Hourly rate: $16.70 Duration: 13 weeks Position Summary: Under the direction of a library staff member, the student assists with the delivery of Library services during peak periods. Duties include circulating materials of various formats, answering basic inquiries from users, and contributing to the processing and organizing of library materials. Must be available on weekends. Must be available to work the same hours every week. May be required to open and/or close the service desk and perform emergency evacuation procedures. May be required to walk between buildings. Performs other supplementary tasks as assigned. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to clearly transmit and receive information. Must be user-focused and service-oriented. Demonstrated ability to cope with physical requirements: handling, carrying and lifting of library materials. Previous library or similar experience preferred. English: spoken, read and written.
