EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Casual Front Desk Clerk, On-Call M’akola Housing Society Langford, BC – Jesken Aerie Position Summary The Casual Front Desk Clerk will report to the Assisted Living Manager and manage the reception area while providing a warm and friendly environment for all residents, guests, and employees. The Casual Front Desk Clerk will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks while supporting the front desk. The casual front desk clerk shifts are as follows: Front Desk Clerk - $26.31 per hour 8:00 am to 4:00 pm 4:00 pm to 12:00 am 12:00 am to 8:00 am ($2.50 premium) Qualifications Grade 12 or equivalent Courses or training in customer service, office systems and procedures 1-2 years of experience working in hospitality preferably in a congregate/assisted living setting Experience working in and with the Indigenous communities and Indigenous people is an asset Courses required and paid for by M’akola: Occupational Level 1 First Aid Level 1 Certificate Food Safe Level 1 Certificate WHMIS Certificate Other Follow M’akola Housing Society and Assisted Living policies and procedures Provide a clear criminal record check To view the full job description and the list of responsibilities click here. Requirements

Candidates must have a Grade 12 education or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, preferably in an assisted living setting. Applicants are also required to obtain specific certifications including First Aid, Food Safe, and WHMIS.
