Team members collaborate at the intersection of space engineering, materials science, and planetary sustainability. Role Descriptions Engineering Intern: Support the design, development, and testing of LMC's lunar ISRU technologies. Responsibilities include CAD design, prototyping, research, technical analysis, documentation, and contributing to engineering solutions across a wide range of technical challenges as we develop our hardware. Project Engineering Intern: Lead the planning and coordination of engineering projects, ensuring milestones, schedules, and technical deliverables remain on track. In addition to supporting project execution, you'll work closely with the outreach team on grant applications, investor materials, partnership opportunities, and other strategic initiatives that help grow the company. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Canadian university with Bachelor’s program in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Aerospace, or related field). (Engineering Intern only) Foundational skills in engineering analysis and design, including familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) and basic mechanical or process design principles. (Project Engineering Intern) Support cross-site project coordination by updating milestone schedules in Gantt charts, and communicating progress with other engineers. Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, technical notes, and presentations, and for collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ability to work remotely, manage multiple tasks, and follow guidance from engineers while taking initiative on assigned projects. Interest in space exploration, ISRU, materials processing, or planetary engineering; prior project or research experience in these areas is an asset. Familiarity with basic metallurgy, thermodynamics, or chemical processing principles is beneficial, as is experience with prototyping or fabrication is an asset. Note This is a remote part-time (mainly evening hours) position and the compensation is 100% equity based.

What you’ll do

The Engineering Intern will support the design, development, and testing of lunar ISRU technologies, including CAD design and prototyping. The Project Engineering Intern will lead project planning and coordination, ensuring milestones and schedules are met while collaborating on strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Canadian university in an Engineering program. Foundational skills in engineering analysis and design, along with strong communication abilities, are essential for both intern roles.
