The position involves providing duty counsel representation for bail hearings, including preparing bail plans and negotiating with Crown counsel. The lawyer will also assist individuals on 'Brydges' calls and maintain accurate statistical records in compliance with organizational policies.

The Duty Counsel Lawyer will represent clients in family law matters, including child welfare and emergency protection orders, within the Court of King’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Justice. Responsibilities include providing sound legal advice, managing high-conflict situations, and maintaining accurate statistical records in accordance with organizational policies.
