POSITION DETAILS * Position Type: Temporary Contract * Term: July and August * Age Group: School-Age Children * Qualifications Considered: Responsible Adult (RA), Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA), or Early Childhood Educator (ECE) RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment * Plan and facilitate age-appropriate summer activities, games, and outdoor experiences * Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development * Maintain attendance records and complete required documentation * Conduct health and safety checks and follow licensing requirements * Assist children with daily routines, transitions, and group activities * Foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members * Support the implementation of engaging, child-led learning experiences inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy * Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive workplace culture SPECIFICATIONS * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment * Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and enthusiasm * Comfortable using technology for documentation and communication * Commitment to providing exceptional care and support for children QUALIFICATIONS * Responsible Adult (RA), ECEA, or ECE certification/qualification * Valid Criminal Record Check * Current Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Certification * Up-to-date immunizations * Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 45 lbs * Previous experience working with children is considered an asset WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive hourly wage based on qualifications and experience * A supportive and collaborative team environment * Valuable experience working with school-age children in a licensed childcare setting * Opportunities to build professional skills and gain hands-on experience in early learning and childcare Little Willows by Kids & Company is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accommodations to persons with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.

What you’ll do

Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, inclusive environment while planning age-appropriate summer activities. Support children's holistic development and maintain required documentation and health and safety checks.

Requirements

Candidates must hold RA, ECEA, or ECE qualifications along with valid First Aid, CPR, and Criminal Record Checks. Physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs and up-to-date immunizations are required.
