Summary We are currently recruiting for a Temporary CADD Specialist (12 month term) for our Systems, Software & Solutions Operations team in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the successful candidate will be a driven, self-starter who enjoys a challenge and is motivated to meet and exceed customer expectations. Role and Responsibilities Working closely with sales, engineering, project management and manufacturing groups to fulfill client requirements by providing design and drafting services Preparing a variety of different drawing types, including but not limited to: Electrical panel assemblies, including Motor Control Centres (MCC) Electrical building (E-house) electrical wiring Instrumentation loops and integration wiring Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) Valve and actuator assemblies Responsible for drawing product quality control with adherence to company standards and procedures Report progress of work assignments to engineers and other team members to meet project schedules Qualifications and Skills A technical diploma, CAD certificate or equivalent Proficiency using AutoCAD is required, experience using AutoCAD Electric is preferred. Experience with AutoDesk Inventor an asset A commitment to CAD standards and procedures is essential to this function Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities Able to work with minimal supervision and a willingness to work in a team environment The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Effective written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, excellent attention to detail, able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments Ability to perform various calculations and data manipulation in Excel Spartan recognizes that there are many ways in which candidates develop knowledge, abilities, and competencies throughout their careers.
